Pancake´s day

Este año, hemos vuelto a celebrar en el colegio el Pancake´s day con motivo de las vacaciones de Pascua. Todo el colegio pudo disfrutar de las deliciosas tortitas con nata!

This year, we have  again celebrated  the Pancake's Day at school with  occasion of the Easter holidays. The whole school could enjoy the delicious pancakes with cream!

Visita al aeropuerto

El pasado 4 de marzo los alumnos de 5º y 6º visitamos el aeropuerto San Pablo de Sevilla. Allí aprendimos cómo buscar la información de los vuelos en el panel, cómo facturar el equipaje, cómo pasar por el control de entrada… Y también tuvimos la oportunidad de conocer la utilidad de los halcones que se adiestran allí para proteger a los aviones. Además, nos dimos cuenta de lo importante que es saber inglés, porque se utiliza en todos los aeropuertos del mundo!

On March 4 students in grades 5 and 6 visited the San Pablo Airport in Seville. There, we learned how to find the flight information on the panel, how to check luggage, how to go through the input control ... And we also had the opportunity to know the usefulness of the hawks. They are trained there to protect aircraft. In addition, we realized how important it is knowledge of English, because it is used at all airports in the world!

Tras la visita a La Cartuja, los alumnos y alumnas de segundo ciclo hemos realizado un taller de arcilla  en el colegio. Con la ayuda de Irene, la hija de la señorita Reyes, hemos aprendido a modelar y decorar nuestras figuras. Aquí puedes ver el proceso y el resultado.

After visiting La Cartuja, the second cycle  students have done a clay workshop at school. With the help of Irene, the daughter of Miss Reyes, we have learned to shape and decorate our figures. You can see the process and the result in these pictures.

Day of the Fruit

Our school is participating in a program called “Growing in health”.

As part of this program, we have established the “Day of the Fruit”. Every Wednesday our students must take a piece of fruit for the break.   A responsible student in each group will count the number of people who has brought the fruit and will complete the chart “fruitmetre” with the information.  The group  with more points will have a reward at the end of the term.

So, don´t doubt it: have a fruit and be healthy!!!

Nuestra escuela está participando en un programa llamado " Crecer en Salud ".

Como parte de este programa  hemos establecido el "Día de la fruta" . Todos los miércoles los estudiantes deben tomar una pieza de fruta durante el recreo. Un estudiante responsable en cada grupo contará el número de personas que ha traído la fruta y completará la gráfica " fruitmetre " con la información. El grupo con más puntos tendrá una recompensa al final del trimestre.

 Por lo tanto, no lo dudes: toma fruta y mantente sano!!!

Visita al CAAC

This week the students of 3º and 4º  have  visited  the Monastery of La Cartuja , accompanied by our tutors miss Reyes and miss Mª Jesús,  as well as the Miss Isabel and Auxiliary Clara.It was a very interesting visit , as we were able to learn the monastery's history from its origins to the present day. We visited its facilities, including the Museum of Contemporary Art . We also met the Ombu tree , according to legend was planted by the son of Christopher Columbus. And we had the opportunity to design our own dishes La Cartuja that now decorates our school.

Esta semana los alumnos de segundo ciclo hemos hecho una visita al Monasterio de La Cartuja, acompañados por nuestras tutoras María Jesús y Reyes, así como por la seño Isabel y la auxiliar de conversación, Clara.
Fue una visita muy interesante, ya que pudimos aprender la historia del monasterio desde sus orígenes hasta nuestros días. Visitamos sus instalaciones, incluido el museo de Arte Contemporáneo. También conocimos el ombú, árbol que, según la leyenda fue plantado por el hijo de Cristóbal Colón. Y tuvimos la oportunidad de diseñar nuestra propia vajilla de La Cartuja que ahora decora nuestro centro.

Día de la Paz

On January 29 we celebrated  "The Peace Day"at school. Teachers of Art drew a big dove that we all  were filling with our photos . In addition,  students of first and second level prepared works about  people who have dedicated their lives to fighting for peace in the world.

El pasado día 29 de enero celebramos en el colegio el Día de la Paz.

Las maestras de Art dibujaron una gran paloma que entre todos fuimos rellenando con nuestras fotos. Además, los alumnos de primer ciclo prepararon trabajos sobre personajes que han dedicado su vida a luchar para conseguir la paz en el mundo. 

                                                 

Christmas Contest

This school year , we celebrated for the first time a competition of Christmas cards . There was a prize for the best card of each of the groups. The winners were: 

1st level : Lola Pérez

2nd level: Inmaculada Rodríguez.

4th level: Ángela María García 

5th level: Carmen Rivera

6th level: Helena González.  

Furthermore, among them , the winner of the center was elected, which corresponded to the greeting of Irene Alvarez, of the  3rd course .

The winning card was used as greeting of all the educational community center and has been on the cover of the program of Christmas activities. 

Este año, hemos celebrado por primera vez un concurso de tarjetas navideñas. Hubo un premio para la mejor tarjeta de cada uno de los grupos. 

Además, de entre todos ellos, se eligió la  ganadora  del centro, que correspondió a la felicitación de Irene Álvarez, de 3er  curso.

La tarjeta premiada se ha utilizó como felicitación de todo el centro a la comunidad educativa, y ha sido portada del programa de actuaciones de navidad.
